Cancer survivors and loved ones we’ve lost to
cancer are the focus of UNI’s Relay For Life. The Relay is a
celebration of “HOPE” for a cure. We want the opportunity
to honor as many survivors as possible at our 2012 Relay.
If you are a cancer survivor, we invite you to
participate in our Relay For Life on April 13th. We will have a
luminary ceremony followed by a Survivor Lap to honor our survivors. In
addition to this, we have a Honorary Survivor who talks about their
journey with cancer, and also represents those would have fought and
are fighting cancer.
The night of Relay, we have a Luminaria Ceremony.
During this ceremony, we remember those who have lost the fight against
cancer and also honor those who are currently fighting cancer.
Luminaria bags are available the night of Relay but can also be
pre-ordered online on our Relay for Life website: www.relayforlife.com/uni
If you know any family, friends, or co-workers who
are
battling cancer or who have won the fight, please invite them to
participate in our Relay with yourself. It is a great opportunity to
honor them for their struggles and victories over a horrible disease.
We recommend that you call all
survivors you know to personally invite them to the Relay For Life of
UNI.
